iDASH
Suite of spreadsheets for School Assessment Analysis
Internal Dashboard, Analysis, Summary and Headlines
iDASH is a suite of Excel spreadsheets for schools to analyse in-year assessment data. There are separate spreadsheets for primary, keystage 4 and keystage 5.
Whilst data can be entered or amended manually, generally iDASH is populated via one or more extracts of data from the school MIS (SIMS, Arbor etc). iDASH then calculates performance indicators and presents these in various reports. A key feature of iDASH is that this includes presentations of the data using the format of DfE/Ofsted reports – the IDSR and ASP School Performance Summary – so reports are consistent with the final ‘official’ analyses, and staff/governors can become familiar with this format.
iDASH is also often used by MAT so that all schools present data in the same format. There are also several MAT-specific features which allow easy collation of data from all schools and/or comparison of data between schools.
iDASH is supplied as an annual subscription (January to December).

Assessment analysis for key stage 4
iDASH4 is an Excel spreadsheet which presents your institution’s internal KS4 assessment data in various reports. These include DfE/Ofsted style reports: IDSR and the ASP School Performance Summary.
In year monitoring data is therefore shown in a format consistent with the final statutory reports.
The spreadsheet includes many other analyses, reports and tools:
- Single page Overview report
- Comprehensive Headlines summary
- English/Maths 9-5/9-4
- Progress 8 analysis
Assessment analysis for key stage 5
Similar to iDASH4, iDASH5 is an Excel spreadsheet which presents your institution’s post 16 data in various reports, including DfE/Ofsted style reports such as the IDSR.
The spreadsheet includes many other analyses, reports and tools:
- Single page Overview report
- Comprehensive Headlines summary
